Lunigiana is a special land,
showing untouched witnesses of its feudal history and, at the same
time, a still uncontaminated nature almost completely free from
the industrial pollution. The white peacks of the Apuan Alps and
the Appennine’s green dales
are the setting of this charming landscape, where time seems to
stop among castles and prehistorical statues, mountain towns and
medieval monasteries. Lunigiana is situated in the northen part
of Tuscany and, as an emerald, is set between Liguria and Emilia
along the Magra river and behind the Apuan Alps, where the white
marble (which still decorates nowadays our houses, squares and monuments)
shines as a jewel.
The climate of
Lunigiana is mild, its enviroment is sweet and
comfortable: here it will be possibile to enjoy long and relaxing
walks through the nice woods, rich of flowers, mushrooms, chestnut-trees
and oak-trees, where clear and uncontaminated waters, full of fish, flow.
In Winter the
Alps become totally white and offer several good skiing resorts, whereas
in the other side of the mountains it is possibile to visit famous sea-side
resorts and charming landscapes as the “Cinque Terre”.
Lunigiana
is the ideal place to have relax and forget the chaotic life
of big cities: here it is possibile to discover the charm of ancient traditions
and cultures or, simply, to taste the typical genuine flavours of this
friendly land.
