Great sculptors are a typical tradition of our land, which originated with an unknown ancient Rome’s sculptor to continue through the Renaissance, Baroque, Neo-classicism till the present-day masters.

This tradition is still alive and happens again in the laboratories of the new masters and in the “studios”, forge of new artists, who celebrate with new forms and styles the magnificence of the apuan marble. Artisans, stone-dresser, ornamentists are the real strenght of our town, the source of Carrara’s world-wide fame: thanks to their work, Carrara has been in the past and is nowadays the real capital of sculpture.

In the classical art gallery it is possibile to find the reproductions of the most important and famous statues of the world; a wide selection of the most famous sculptors’ works, as the Venus of Milo, The discobolus of Mirone and the David of Michelangelo...

The works are carved in statuary white marble and finely worked.
